Rafters 18 September 2015

It’s no good sitting in your lounge endlessly rehearsing, you gotta get out there. So we did.  Couple of song in the first half of Rafters Folk Club before the fabulous Supersheep took to the stage.

Our version of Down Boondocks which start with a certain a capella flair, went down a treat, with even the harden Supersheep trad-folk fans singing along. Then we tried out the old Carter Family classic 50 Miles of elbow room, where Pete goes for a frailing banjo style on dobro, with some nice mando for Steve. The whole thing works of course because of the harmonies from Holly and Sue. But don’t worry they’ll be getting out front more in future as we learn their stuff.

Steve madly rushed off in t he break because he has to pack his stuff as he leaves for Greece in the morning. Something about ancient history.
